The Greater Daytona Beach Area is comprised of cities along the east coast of Florida. We are a unique area as we are blessed with mild weather throughout the year. Winter does get chilly but we haven't had to shovel snow yet. We are able to enjoy outdoor activities year round. That might be one of the many reasons that hundreds of thousands of people travel to The Greater Daytona Beach area. Most people are familiar with Daytona Beach but its the cities in between that are the gems in Volusia County, most with a small town ambiance but with all the amenities like the big city.
My favorite city in Volusia County is Port Orange, Florida as I am a resident. Port Orange has so many things going for it with well thought out communities, plenty of parks and recreation, trails to ride bikes and it is so close to the beach. The city of Port Orange offers many services for residents. Parades, events, Port Orange Family Days, well graded schools and shopping galore. Some might view Port Orange as small town, yes its definitely the ambiance, with friendly neighbors, exceptional businesses and housing communities that are well maintained, affordable and convenient to everything. Ponce Inlet is on the beach side and is well loved by visitors and residents, sea turtles, the jetty, the lighthouse and excellent restaurants. With the river directly west and the beach on the east if waterfront living is important to you, upscale luxury homes, while the ambiance is definintely small town but more like a beach town. Daytona Beach is where so many exciting things are happening, with the new Daytona campaign we are seeing all kinds of new ideas to bring in business that benefit the residents and visitors who grace this city.
