I have always been proud to be a REALTOR, being a REALTOR is more than just being a real estate agent.  As a REALTOR, we give back not only to charities but we give back to our community. Recently the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS and child service agencies just finished the Adopt - A - Child backpack program.  We assist area children backpacks filled with new and basic school supplies and other necessiities needed specifically for each child.

Sponsors recieve a profile of each child with wants and needs to make school extra special for them.  Not only are the childrend supplied with backpacks but school supplies as well as clothing and toiletries.

According to Deanne Cash, finance and special projects coordinator for the Realtors group, 500area children have been "adopted" through donations from REALTORS, affiliate members and residents.  While the date to "adopt" a child has passed, Cash said donations are still being accepted to help purchase school supplies. To make a donation, contact Cash at 386-677-7131 or dmcash@daytonarealtors.org.  According to the News Journal.
