Daytona Beach condo and home sales decreased for the month of June.  June is a big vacation month so it does not surprise me.  We've been fortunate that sales have increased over previous year month after month until June.  If you recall last year in June was the deadline to close a property in order to qualify for tax credits so that might be why sales are down compared to last year.

4,688 single family homes have sold year to date compared to 2010 4,577.  It's been reported that 2011 is on track to be the worst housing market in 14 years.  Locally, home sales in Daytona Beach have increased for the past 5 months.  June is the first month our sales our down from 2010.

I think we are close to bottoming out, so if you see a great deal in the Greater Daytona Beach area, I don't think it would be wise to risk waiting.  This is the month when families start relocating to prepare for the next year of school and be in their new home before the new school year starts.  Need a REALTOR, call me, I would be happy to help!

Carlos Ring sells Port Orange, Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores and surrounding areas!
