Recently City Commissioners of Daytona Beach approved a plan to install red light cameras at every traffic light all around town to assist in stopping drivers from running red lights and reduce the number of accidents.

The new law will pass on July 1st and the city is busy getting quotes and proposals from various companies. These cameras will be able to photograph drivers that run a red light and they will receive in the mail a ticket for $158.00, no points but you must pay the ticket.

Daytona Beach will be the first city in Volusia County to install the cameras.  What do you think about this?
